The center announced its readiness to hold activities for the occasion, which falls on the 27th of the lunar Hijri month of Rajab.
Head of the center Sheikh Khairuddin al-Hadi stated that the themes for this occasion reflect the universal message of the Quran.
He said there will be a series of activities that will take place over seven days at Bain al-Haramayan (the area between the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and Hazrat Abbas) and throughout all the governorates of Iraq.
The unveiling of the Encyclopedia of the Quranic Teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) is among these activities, he noted.
Sheikh al-Hadi added that the sixth international Quranic conference will also be held with a focus on the Quranic legacy of Imam Hussein (AS) and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
There will also be an international Quran exhibition with the participation of Iraqi and international institutions, he went on to say.

In addition to organizing national and international Quranic gatherings that highlight the significance of Quranic activities, intellectual seminars and specialized discussions are going to be held to address challenges, he stated.
This Quranic initiative is being carried out under the direct supervision and support of Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalayi, representative of the grand source of emulation, and Hassan Rashid Abayji, secretary-general of the Astan with the aim of making the World Quran Day an opportunity to highlight the greatness of the Quranic message and achieve a qualitative leap in Quranic activities at both national and international levels, he concluded.
